Leaves That Hold the Story of Your Soul
Thousands of years ago, a group of enlightened sages known as the Rishis used their extraordinary spiritual insight to perceive the journeys of individual souls — including yours. They recorded what they saw on the dried leaves of the Talipot palm, in the ancient Tamil language.
These manuscripts, known as Nadi palm leaves, are preserved in libraries across southern India. Each leaf is unique and corresponds to a specific person — meant to be found at exactly the right moment in their life.
"The palm leaves are not fortune-telling. They are a mirror — showing you what your soul already knows."
Watch a Real Reading in Action
Nothing builds understanding — or trust — like seeing the process unfold in real life. Watch how a palm leaf is identified on a Zoom call, and hear what seekers experience when their leaf is found.
Who Were the Rishis?
The Rishis were legendary sages of ancient India, revered for their extraordinary spiritual vision. The Sanskrit word "ṛṣi" means "to see" — and these seers could perceive not just the present moment, but the full arc of countless individual lives across time.
Though they lived in human form thousands of years ago, the Rishis are said to remain active in the spiritual realm, guiding seekers who are drawn to their manuscripts. The fact that your leaf exists — that your life was perceived and recorded — is itself a profound message: you were known, and you were loved.
The Full Process,
Explained
Finding and reading your personal palm leaf is a sacred process involving multiple people, a search in India, and a live Zoom session. Here is everything you need to know.
Send Your Thumbprint
All you need to begin is your thumbprint, your gender, and your country of birth. There are no forms to fill out, no lengthy questionnaires — just a simple ink impression on paper.
While every thumbprint is unique, there are up to 108 recurring patterns. The pattern of your print is what determines which bundles of palm leaves the librarian selects to search. Women provide their left thumbprint; men provide their right.
The Search Begins in India
Once we receive your thumbprint, our reader in India travels to the palm leaf library — located primarily in the south of India, in Tamil Nadu. The libraries house thousands of bundled manuscripts, each bundle grouped by thumbprint pattern.
The librarian identifies which bundles may contain your leaf. From these, the reader performs a traditional divination ritual and prayers to select a smaller set of bundles — those most likely to hold your personal leaf.
Identifying Your Leaf — Live on Zoom
You join a Zoom call with the palm leaf reader and a translator. The reader opens the first bundle and reads out a series of statements, each describing characteristics of the person whose leaf is in that bundle.
Typical statements include things like: "You have two siblings", or "The first letter of your mother’s name is…"You simply answer Yes, No, or I’m not sure. If the answers don’t match, the reader moves to the next leaf in the bundle.
"My palm leaf reading was enlightening and inspiring. From the beginning, I experienced many emotions — nervousness about the assignment process, excitement about discovering my leaf, and wonderment about the content."
The Reading — Your Life Unveiled
Once your leaf is confirmed, the translator reads the general chapter — a comprehensive overview of your past, present, and future life as recorded by the Rishis. This includes your life path, relationships, career, spiritual journey, and karmic themes.
The palm leaves were written in ancient Tamil — a rich, poetic, sound-based language. Descriptions are sometimes metaphorical, then translated into modern context. For example: "sitting in great halls, learning the rules and customs of society"might be translated as "you studied law."
The reading also includes Chapter 14 — the remedies chapter — which outlines spiritual and energetic practices recommended to help you clear karmic blockages and live more fully in alignment.
Integration & What Comes Next
The reading can be a profound experience. We recommend giving yourself quiet time to absorb it. You are not just receiving information — you are being seen across time, by sages who knew you before you were born.
You will receive a full video recording of the session, which we recommend listening to at least once more in the days that follow. Many seekers notice new layers of meaning with each listen.

Built on Trust,
Rooted in Tradition
MyPalmLeaf was founded by Stephan — a European seeker who discovered palm leaf reading in southern India and spent years studying directly with the Nadi reader families and their libraries to understand the tradition from the inside. That depth of relationship is what makes every reading you receive through MyPalmLeaf authentic.
People Find Their Leaf When the Time Is Right
A palm leaf reading is not for everyone — and that's intentional. The Rishis wrote that a seeker will only find their leaf when they are ready for it. If any of these resonate, it may be your time.
There is no pressure, no obligation. Simply begin with your thumbprint, and we'll search. If your leaf isn't found, you pay nothing.
🛡 Full refund if your leaf isn't found — no questions asked
Everything You Need to Know
Honest answers to the questions seekers ask most before booking their first reading.
What if my palm leaf isn't found?
If we cannot identify your leaf across three scheduled sessions, you receive a full refund — no questions asked. This happens in a minority of cases, and we are transparent about it upfront. Not every seeker's leaf is in the libraries we work with, and we believe it's important to honour that honestly rather than force a match.
How long does the process take from start to finish?
After you send your thumbprint, we typically schedule your first Zoom session within 2–4 weeks, depending on reader availability. The identification and general chapter reading together usually take 2–3 hours in one session. Additional chapters can be booked afterwards and are typically scheduled within a few weeks.
What if the reading reveals something difficult?
The palm leaves were written with compassion, not alarm. Difficult passages are always framed alongside guidance — what can be done, how to navigate it, what remedies may help. Our translators are experienced in delivering sensitive content with care. You're never left simply with a warning — always with context and a path forward.
Do I need to believe in this for it to work?
No. Many of our most powerful testimonials come from people who were deeply sceptical beforehand. The reading stands on the accuracy of what it says about your actual life — names, events, circumstances that could not be guessed. Belief is something you arrive at yourself, if at all. We ask only that you come with an open mind and honest yes/no answers during the matching.
Is this culturally appropriate for people outside India?
Absolutely. The Rishis wrote leaves for souls from all over the world — seekers across Europe, the Americas, Asia, Africa, and Australia have found their leaves. The tradition holds that every soul whose leaf exists will eventually be drawn to find it, regardless of their background, religion, or belief system. Over 6,000 people from dozens of countries have read their leaf through MyPalmLeaf.
What language will the reading be in?
The leaf is read in ancient Tamil by the reader, and translated live into the language of your choice. We currently offer readings in over 20 languages, including English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese, Russian, Polish, and more. If your language isn't listed, contact us — we are continually expanding our translator team.

Ancient Wisdom,
Written for You
Thousands of years ago, the Rishis perceived your journey and preserved it on a palm leaf. When you are ready, it is waiting to be found.
"Finding my palm leaf has helped me to have more faith in life and the way things happen. I was always someone who wondered if I was on the right path, which kept me from moving forward. The guidance I received from the rishis gave me a sense of permission to live the life path I've always felt called to, and to have more confidence in my process. Receiving the blessings of the rishis was a great gift."
